Property Description
The village house is situated in the picturesque
Catalan village of St. Jean Pla de Corts set in the mountainous
landscape of the Pyrénées Orientales famed for it's fine wine and food,
tranquil atmosphere and sun drenched climate. It is a ten minute walk to
the stunning landscaped lakes with adventure activities, swimming and
outdoor bar/restaurant. The beautiful town of Céret is five minutes away
(by car).
Only twenty minutes south (by car) are the seaside
towns running into Spain. The drive along the twisting coastal road
features absolutely stunning views. Argelès-sur-mer is an attractive and
lively old seaside town with long stretches of sandy beaches. Collioure
is one of the best kept secrets of the coast where the Pyrenees tumble
into the sea, creating a series of beautiful bays and rocky headlands
which gives this stretch of coast its unique character.
The more adventurous looking for a lively day out
can reach Barcelona in just under two hours. A lunchtime stroll along
'Las Ramblas' is an experience not to be missed. For the serious
shoppers there is always Perpignan, a large vibrant Catalan city.
