Property Description
Arles-sur-Tech nestles beside theTech River in the
Tech Valley. Being close to Spain it is a typical Catalonian village.
You will see the red and yellow of the Catalonian flag all over the
region. Arles-sur-Tech is the capital of the Vallespir district
Up a few steps and the front door is off the
terrace. Step on to the quarry tiled terrace, which is an extremely
sunny, south west area, you will find loungers, colourful coffee tables
and an area for dining. A table and six chairs sit under a canopy of
vines and passion flowers. There is also a chimney with a stone barbeque
area.
On entering the house the kitchen is on the right.
It is new and fully equipped with double oven and gas hob, a microwave
oven, an electric toaster, coffee maker and mixer. There is a large free
standing fridge with separate sizeable freezer. Crockery and oven ware
are of a good standard and there is plenty of cupboard area. There is
also a breakfast bar with two stools.
The bathroom comprises bath, shower, toilet and
bidet. All this is new and freshly decorated. It is situated on the left
off the hall.
In front of you is the dining and sitting room which
is a large and sunny area and attractively furnished. The dining table
can seat 8 (there are spare chairs available) it has 6 rush cane chairs,
and a large sideboard containing decanters, glasses, table mats and
dining room cutlery and entertaining crockery.
The sitting area has a 3 seater sofa and a matching
2 seater with a footstool, also a leather swivel chair and footstool.
There is a stereo, colour French and satellite TV and video. There is a
telephone with a security code to bar outgoing calls and internet
access, it is for incoming calls only. In the corner is an attractive
large woodburning fireplace.
The master bedroom is off the sitting room on the
left which is a light double bedded room. The sun streams into the room
in the morning and you can sun bathe in bed! There is a large cupboard
area and dressing table and stool.
The second bedroom is off the dining area on the
left. Here is a light and comfortable adult sized bunk bed room with a
chest and hanging space. The are some stairs off the front hall down to
a Third bedroom with twin beds. This has a toilet and wash basin next
door.
The whole house has lovely large French windows with
shutters to eliminate any unwanted sun and are a main attraction. The
whole of the property is ceramic tiled and has many colourful French
pictures decorating the walls.
Underneath the terrace is a new self contained
Studio apartment accommodating 2 people. This can be let with the main
house or separately. The studio comprising sitting room with sofa bed,
an open plan kitchen with bar and stools and shower room with basin and
toilet.
