petanque area and barbecue.
There are many leisure pursuits close-by, including wine-tasting,
fishing, horse riding as well as mountain strolls, hikes and bike rides,
direct from the house. Its a short drive to the historic seaside town of
Collioure, to lively Argeles-sur-Mer and to the market-town of Ceret
with its modern art museum, narrow streets and tree-lined squares.
The villa itself is set in a quiet friendly village. The villa has
great character and consists of a large house with additional bedrooms
set around a pretty courtyard. Within the main house, there is an
open-plan kitchen and dining area with an open fire, "bar" area, sunken
lounge and a further reception/tv room. Upstairs is a bedroom with en
suite bathroom and children's room. The four further bedrooms are
situated around the private courtyard attached to the house. A wet
shower room is also accessed from the courtyard.
The courtyard offers a safe area for small children. The pool area at
the rear of the property has been sympathetically fenced to retain the
beautiful views, whilst providing the required safety levels.
The house is situated close to the French/Spanish border, about
fifteen minutes from the mediterranean beaches and about thirty minutes
from Perpignan airport.
The villa is situated in South West France, in the foothills of the
Pyrénées, in the picturesque village of Montesquieu des Alberes.
